Our Story

by yc. is a second-generation, family-owned jewellery house founded by sisters Yongchie and Yongmie Chansavang.

Our story begins at our father's bench, a master jeweller whose craft spanning over 40 years, quietly shaped some of Australasia's most respected names and international houses. His legacy of precision, patience, and uncompromising standards is the foundation we build on, and the standard we carry forward in every piece we make.

Today, we continue this tradition alongside him, learning the art of goldsmithing under his guidance and honouring the techniques, discipline, and attention to detail passed down through generations. From design to fabrication, our pieces are crafted within our family workshop - where knowledge is shared, skills are refined, and every creation carries the hands and stories behind it.

Designed and handcrafted between Brisbane & Auckland, our pieces reflect the intersection of our Asian and Pacific heritage, reinterpreted through a modern lens. Each design is considered and refined. Made to be worn with ease, layered over time, and ultimately passed on. 

We work in solid gold, sterling silver, platinum, and ethically sourced precious gemstones, using local recycled metals wherever possible. Producing in small batches or made to order, we maintain intention in every piece. This honours both the process of making and the responsibility of what we put into the world.
